September 26th 2010 I was set apart by Azalea Garden Church of God as an Ordained Bishop. This Tuesday I successfully passed the Ordained Bishop's written examination and subsequent oral interview with the examining board in Ashland, Virginia. This is a big step of faith for us. Lots of thoughts and emotions swirl around inside as we take this step. It's been thirteen years since we've been part of a denomination. We've spent hours and hours in prayer seeking the Lord's leading concerning this move, and sense that He has new things in store for us. We want to be like Caleb and Joshua in the Old Testament on the brink of entering a new land; a land flowing with "milk and honey"! I believe the Lord knows the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Plans to give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11).
